Minister to Fund Cash Incentives for IIT Achievers
A minister is giving money to students from his area who get into the Indian Institutes of Technology (IITs).
He wants to reward students who work hard and do well in school.
Students from Scheduled Tribes will get the most money, followed by Scheduled Castes, Backward Classes, and then Open Category students.
The minister hopes that this will encourage more students to study hard and make their state proud.
He's using his own money to pay for it, and the program is only for students from his constituency.
Minister Kolusu Parthasarathy announced cash incentives for IIT achievers.
The incentives are funded by the Minister's personal funds.
ST students will receive ₹1,00,000, SCs ₹75,000, BCs ₹50,000, and OC students ₹25,000.
