Madhya Pradesh Plans Recruitment For 85,000 Vacant Posts

Madhya Pradesh Plans Recruitment For 85,000 Vacant Posts

The Madhya Pradesh government says it wants to fill about 85,000 empty government jobs in 2026.

These empty jobs have caused staff shortages in government departments.

The shortages have made regular work and public services more difficult.

Chief Minister Mohan Yadav said some new vacancies were created when employees were promoted.

The government is collecting information from departments about these posts.

Recruitment will happen through several agencies, including the Employee Selection Board and the Public Service Commission.

A separate process will fill 2,548 Anganwadi worker and helper positions.

The government had earlier aimed to work toward filling about one lakh posts.

Employee groups support the plan but want recruitment to happen regularly instead of only once.
