Ganesh Chaturthi Celebrations Fill Madhya Pradesh With Processions and Pandals

Ganesh Chaturthi celebrations began in many parts of Madhya Pradesh.

People brought Lord Ganesha idols to their homes, temples and decorated public pandals.

Streets became lively with drums, music and chants of “Ganpati Bappa Morya.”

Some processions continued even when it rained.

In Dhar, idols were installed at nearly 100 places.

Pansemal planned about 48 pandals, while Meghnagar presented several large decorated idols.

Many people chose clay or eco-friendly idols, and schoolgirls in Kukshi made one themselves.

Families and communities held prayers, aartis, cultural programmes and prasad distributions.

The celebrations will continue for 10 days.
