VOC Port Sets New Record Handling 103 Windmill Blades in One Shipment
A port called VOC Port in a city named Thoothukudi just set a new record!
They managed to unload 103 giant blades, used to make wind power windmills, from just one big ship.
This is the most blades they have ever handled from a single ship.
They used special cranes to carefully take these very long blades off the boat.
The port has a lot of space to store these big parts.
This is good news for clean energy because it shows the port can handle more parts for windmills.
VOC Port in Thoothukudi achieved a new milestone by handling 103 windmill blades on a single ship.
This is the first time the port has handled such a large quantity of blades in one shipment.
The previous record was 101 blades, set on August 22.
The windmill blades arrived on the vessel MV GHT MARINAS from Qinzhou, China.
