Reliance Shares Rise on Record Q1 Earnings
Reliance Industries, a big company in India, just shared its earnings for the first three months of the year.
They made a lot of money, more than ever before!
Their stock price went up a little bit.
The company has three main parts: oil and chemicals, telecom (Jio), and retail stores.
All three did well, but the retail part spent more money to grow, so it made a bit less profit.
Jio, their phone service, has over 500 million users.
Some experts think the company could make even more money in the future, especially if Jio becomes its own company and sells shares.
The stock is still not as high as it was a year ago, but it could go up if things keep going well.
Reliance Industries reported record Q1 earnings with EBITDA of ₹54,067 crore, up 10.1% year-on-year.
Net profit increased by 6.1% to ₹23,196 crore, driven by strong growth in O2C, Jio Platforms, and retail.
Reliance Retail EBITDA fell 1.1% due to investments in digital commerce and delivery infrastructure.
Jio Platforms revenue grew 12% with over 533 million subscribers, and EBITDA margin expanded to 53.3%.
Analysts suggest a potential re-rating may depend on Jio's listing and clearer earnings visibility from new energy and retail.
