Over 1 Million Indians May Lose Legal Status in Canada

A lot of people from India who are living and working in Canada are in trouble.

Their work permits are about to expire, and if they don't get a new visa or permanent residency, they might become undocumented.

A consultant named Kanwar Seirah says that by 2026, around 2 million people in Canada could be living without legal status, and half of them might be from India.

This is a big problem because it's happening so quickly, and it's causing social issues in places like Brampton and Caledon, where people are living in tent encampments.

The Canadian government has made it harder to stay in the country, so many people might not be able to find a solution in time.
