Parliament Deadlock Blocks Debates on Student Protests and Key Issues

Parliament is a building where elected leaders meet to discuss and decide important things for the country.

Two big groups there are the government, which is in charge, and the opposition, which questions the government.

Right now, the two groups are so angry with each other that they cannot work together.

Because of this, Parliament has been unable to do its work for nineteen days in a row.

When this happens, people call it a washout.

Important topics are not being discussed, including student protests and how police treated protesters at a place called Jantar Mantar.

There are also questions about money linked to the Ram Temple.

The opposition wants the Prime Minister to explain and apologise for some of these things.

The government believes the opposition is just making excuses to waste Parliament's time.

In the end, the people's leaders are stuck arguing instead of solving problems.
