IEX Share Price Jumps Over 12% After Recent Decline
Imagine a company called IEX that sells energy.
Their stock price had a big drop because of a new rule about how energy is sold.
But then, the stock price went up again!
This is because the company made more money than last year.
The company's profit grew by 25%, and their sales also went up by 19%.
So, even though something caused the price to go down before, the company's good performance helped the price go back up.
IEX share price surged over 12% in early trading on Friday.
The jump partially recovered from a 30% decline the previous day.
The decline was triggered by the CERC's market coupling announcement.
IEX reported a 25% year-on-year increase in consolidated net profit.
The company's revenue increased 19% year-on-year.
