Gurugram B-School Launches Trading Fund for MBA Students
A business school in Gurugram called Masters’ Union is letting its MBA students manage a real trading fund of Rs 40 lakh.
This is like giving students a chance to practice trading in the real world.
The students in the new Capital Markets & Trading program will be able to buy and sell stocks, bonds, and other assets.
They will be guided by experienced professionals, like hedge fund managers.
The school hopes this will give students a better understanding of how trading works, which is seen as a gap in the current education system.
Masters’ Union, a Gurugram-based business school, launched a Rs 40 lakh student-managed trading fund.
The fund will be used by the inaugural Postgraduate Programme in Capital Markets & Trading (PGP-CMT) batch.
Students will trade in real-time across eight asset classes including equities and derivatives.
The program aims to address the fragmented state of trading education in India.
Students will be mentored by industry professionals like hedge fund managers and portfolio strategists.
