It gives each product a digital identity, much like a digital name tag.

Companies can use codes to follow products as they move through factories, warehouses, stores and customers.

The system can help businesses check whether products are genuine or fake.

It can also show where products are located and how long they have been stored.

Customers may use it to verify products and receive rewards.

Aztec plans to introduce the platform in India before expanding internationally.

The company has not announced specific sales or customer targets for AZTRACE.
