Bengaluru Resident's Parking Dispute Post Goes Viral on Instagram
A man in Bengaluru, a big city in India, parked his car in the parking spot where he lives.
A woman who lives in the same building told him he parked badly and was upset with him.
The man made a video with his phone and shared it on Instagram, a popular app for sharing pictures and videos.
In the video, he shows his car staying nicely inside the painted yellow lines on the ground.
Then he shows the woman's car, which was sticking out past the painted lines.
The man said he was blamed because some motorcycles were parked next to his car.
A huge number of people watched the video, more than one and a half million in just one day.
Many people wrote comments; some thought it was funny, and some gave serious advice.
Some said it is important to document arguments, file proper complaints, and use dashcams to avoid future disputes.
Nobody is sure who was right, but the video got everyone talking about good parking manners and civic sense.
A Bengaluru resident using the Instagram handle @mtcurse posted a video about an altercation with a woman neighbour over parking inside their residential complex.
The video shows his Mercedes ML parked within the yellow parking bay markings while the complainant's Ford Figo appears to extend beyond the marked lines.
The poster said he was heckled because of motorcycles parked alongside his designated space, which he argued made the complaint against him misplaced.
The clip crossed 1.7 million views within 24 hours, along with more than 90,000 reactions, 4,500 comments, and 15,000 shares.
Social media reactions were mixed, ranging from jokes and advice to suggestions to document conversations, file complaints, and install dashcams.
