SC Seeks Maha Govt Response on Pune Porsche Crash Bail Pleas

A serious car accident happened in Pune, India, on May 19, 2024.

A 17-year-old boy, who was driving a Porsche car under the influence of alcohol, hit and killed two IT professionals.

The boy and several other adults, including doctors and hospital staff, were arrested.

The adults were arrested because their blood samples were used to cover up for the minor.

The juvenile was initially given bail with a condition to write an essay on road safety, but this decision was later changed, and he was sent to an observation home.

The Bombay High Court rejected the bail pleas of eight accused, including Aditya Avinash Sood and Ashish Satish Mittal.

Now, the Supreme Court is asking the Maharashtra government to respond to the bail pleas of these two accused.
