Kerala Governor: Science and Technology Must Support People-Centric Development
Imagine scientists trying to invent new things, like better medicines or faster computers.
Sometimes, it's hard for them to do their work because of rules or not enough help.
A big meeting was held in India to talk about how to make it easier for scientists to do research and development.
The Governor of Kerala said that new science and technology should help people live better lives, not just be invented for fun.
He also said that everyone, like schools, businesses, and the government, needs to work together.
They talked about a plan to help scientists by removing problems and adding helpful things.
This will help India become a leader in new ideas.
Kerala Governor Rajendra Vishwanath Arlekar stated that science and technology must align with people-centric development and improve the 'Ease of Living'.
The 8th Regional Consultative Meeting on 'Ease of Doing Research and Development' was organized by NITI Aayog in Thiruvananthapuram.
The meeting brought together leaders from institutions, universities, and government to discuss strengthening India's R&D ecosystem.
NITI Aayog introduced the ROPE Framework (Removing Obstacles, Promoting Enablers) to address challenges and promote supportive mechanisms for researchers.
