APSRTC Plans 1,500 Electric Buses

APSRTC Plans 1,500 Electric Buses

The APSRTC, which runs buses in Andhra Pradesh, has a big plan.

They want to add 1,500 electric buses to their fleet.

This will start happening around a special event called the Rajamahendravaram Pushkaram.

To support these new electric buses, they are also setting up charging stations and making bus stations and depots better for passengers.

The managing director, Dwaraka Tirumala Rao, talked about how the APSRTC staff did a great job with a scheme called 'Stree Shakti' in 2025.

This scheme was so well run that the government was very happy with it.

Rao also mentioned that the government has been taking care of the employees by clearing their promotions and giving them other job opportunities if they are not medically fit.

Almost all the pending employee dues have also been cleared.

This shows that the APSRTC is not only focusing on new buses but also on making sure their employees are happy and well taken care of.
