Delhi Police Use Gait Analysis in UPSC Aspirant Murder Case
A man named Ram Kesh Meena, who was preparing for a big government exam, was killed in his home in Delhi.
The police think his live-in partner, Amrita Chauhan, and two other people, Sumit Kashyap and Sandeep Kumar, did it.
They were upset because Meena didn't delete some private videos.
The killers tried to make it look like an accident by setting the house on fire, but the police found out the truth.
They used a special way to study how people walk, called gait analysis, to match the suspects' movements from videos.
The police also found out that the killers planned the murder using Instagram.
The case is now in court.
Delhi Police used gait analysis for the first time to solve the murder of UPSC aspirant Ram Kesh Meena.
The accused, Amrita Chauhan, Sumit Kashyap, and Sandeep Kumar, allegedly killed Meena over a dispute about intimate videos.
The murder was staged to look like an accidental house fire, but the autopsy report revealed injuries inconsistent with an accident.
Gait analysis compared CCTV footage of the suspects with recreated videos to identify them.
An 813-page chargesheet was filed in Delhi's Tis Hazari Court, with the case yet to be taken up.
