US Announces Updated Civics Test for Citizenship in 2025
The U.S. government is changing the test that people take to become citizens.
If you weren't born in the U.S. but want to become a citizen, you must pass a civics test.
This test helps make sure people know about the U.S. government and history.
Starting in late 2025, the test will have new questions.
You will be asked up to 20 questions out of a list of 128.
To pass, you need to get at least 12 answers right.
If you are older and have lived here a long time, you might get a different test.
This new test helps people become part of America by testing their knowledge of the country.
