Dipke urges politicians to send their children to village schools

A man named Abhijit Dipke wants politicians to understand how hard it is for village children to get to school.

He asked ministers, MLAs and members of parliament to send their own children to village schools for one whole day.

Their children would have to walk to school just like village children do.

Many village children walk 7 to 10 kilometres to reach their school.

Walking is even harder in the rainy season, when roads become muddy and full of water.

Dipke is upset because politicians can arrange buses and trains for election rallies, but not even one bus for poor students.

He also spoke about the sad deaths of tribal students at residential schools in Melghat and Gadchiroli.

He says every child's life is just as valuable as a minister's child's life.

His campaign is called 'School Thik Karo', and he wants to work together with villagers, not against them.
