J&K Govt. Hikes DA by 2% for Employees
The Jammu and Kashmir government is giving its employees a raise to help with the rising cost of things.
They are increasing the Dearness Allowance (DA) by 2%, which means employees will get more money in their paychecks.
This change is happening because the prices of things are going up (inflation).
This increase in DA will be reflected in the salaries from January 2025, and employees will also receive some back pay (arrears) in June 2025.
The next update on the DA is expected around October or November 2025.
Jammu and Kashmir government increased Dearness Allowance (DA) by 2% for employees.
The DA increases from 53% to 55% of basic pay.
The revised DA is effective from January 1, 2025.
Arrears for the hike will be paid in June 2025.
The increase aligns with the Centre’s recent DA adjustment for its employees.
