Ladakhi Representative Added to Judicial Panel on Leh Violence
Sometimes, when something bad happens, people want to understand exactly why it happened.
In a place called Leh, some violence occurred, and sadly, four people lost their lives.
To figure out what happened, a special group of people, like a detective team, was put together to investigate.
This team was led by a judge.
However, people living in Leh felt it was important to have someone from their own community on this team to make sure the investigation was fair.
So, a new person from Leh was added to the team.
This means the team now has someone who understands the local area very well, helping them find out the truth about the violence.
A Ladakhi representative has been added to the judicial panel investigating the Leh violence.
The Leh Apex Body had demanded local representation for a fair investigation.
Rigzin Spalgon, Additional Secretary of the UT of Ladakh, has been included in the committee.
The amendment to the panel's composition was issued by the Ministry of Home Affairs.
