Delhi College Students March for Safety and Freedom From Fear
Students from two Delhi colleges marched to ask for safer streets and campuses.
Their protest followed a reported gang-rape near Kalkaji.
Students carried handmade signs with messages about safety and equal rights.
Many covered their faces because they feared being harassed online or punished by their families.
They said broken streetlights make evening travel frightening.
They also described unwanted comments, staring, and touching in public places.
Social media helped students organize the march quickly.
The students want institutions and society to do more so women can travel without fear.
Students from Kamla Nehru College and Gargi College marched after a reported gang-rape at Aastha Kunj Park near Kalkaji.
