Riya Chhawdi Wins DUSU Secretary Post as ABVP Leads Election

Riya Chhawdi has been elected Secretary of the Delhi University Students’ Union.

She ran as a member of the ABVP student group.

She received 21,650 votes.

ABVP won three of the four main student-union positions.

An independent candidate won the Vice-President position.

Riya studies at Sri Aurobindo College and is pursuing a B.A. Programme.

She comes from a farming family in Delhi.

She has also played basketball for her college.

During the campaign, she and ABVP spoke about safer campuses, more hostels and better student support.
