Uber Adds Digital Metro Ticketing for Mumbai Line 1
Imagine you want to ride the metro in Mumbai, but instead of waiting in line to buy a ticket, you can now do it right from the Uber app you already use.
Uber has teamed up with the Mumbai Metro and a digital network called ONDC to make this happen.
This means you can find, buy, and use your metro ticket all in one place.
It's like having a magic ticket that appears on your phone!
They are using a payment system called UPI, which is common in India.
This service has already been introduced in other cities like Delhi and Chennai.
Soon, the app will also give you updates about the metro and help you plan your route.
Uber has launched digital metro ticketing for Mumbai Metro Line 1 within its app.
Commuters can now discover, purchase, and use metro tickets without leaving the Uber app.
This initiative is a partnership between Uber, Mumbai Metro One, and the ONDC Network.
Payments for metro tickets will exclusively be processed via UPI.
Future updates to the Uber app will include real-time service information, station details, and route planning for metro commuters.
