Congress Scrutinizes ASDD Voter Anomalies Ahead of Electoral Draft

Before elections, the government checks the big list of names of people who can vote.

This list is called the electoral roll.

In the erstwhile Adilabad district, a special checking of the list is happening, called the Special Intensive Revision.

During the checking, some problems were found: some names belong to people who have passed away, some have moved away, some are still there, and some names are written twice.

The Congress party is worried that the cleaning-up might accidentally remove the names of real voters.

So the party is telling its workers to check the new draft list carefully.

The draft list will be published on August 17.

If someone's name is missing, that person can ask to be added again.

People who moved to another place can fill a form called Form 8 to change where they vote.

The party wants to make sure no one who can vote is left off the list.
