Gurugram Water Supply Disruption for Maintenance
The water supply in certain parts of Gurugram will be turned off for 48 hours starting from 3 December at 11 AM until 5 December at 11 AM.
This is because important maintenance work needs to be done at the Chandu Budhera water treatment plant and a new big water pipe needs to be connected at the Sector 51 pumping station.
The areas that will be affected include Sector 37, sectors 42 to 74, and the villages of Badshahpur and Khandsa.
The GMDA, which is in charge, has asked everyone in these areas to save water from 1 December to 4 December to make things easier during the shutdown.
They are also working on a new pumping station in Sector 72 to improve the water supply in the future.
Additionally, a report found that some groundwater samples in Delhi have high levels of uranium, which is not safe for drinking.
Water supply will be suspended in specific Gurugram sectors from 3 December 11 AM to 5 December 11 AM for maintenance work.
Affected areas include Sector 37, sectors 42-74, Badshahpur, and Khandsa.
Maintenance involves connecting a 1,600 mm pipeline and repairing existing pipelines.
Residents urged to conserve water from 1 December to 4 December to minimize disruption.
GMDA is commissioning the Sector 72 pumping station to augment water supply in the affected areas.
