Parliament to Install Rath Yatra Wheels as Cultural Symbol
Imagine the Indian Parliament like a big house for important decisions.
Now, they're going to put some special wheels from giant chariots inside!
These wheels are from a big festival called Rath Yatra, which celebrates Lord Jagannath.
The people in charge of the temple asked the Speaker of the Parliament, Om Birla, if they could do this.
He said yes!
This is like putting a piece of Odisha's culture in the Parliament building.
It's like adding decorations that show off important traditions.
Before this, they put in a special item called the Sengol, which is like a symbolic scepter.
This is the second cultural item to be placed in the new building.
Three wheels from Rath Yatra chariots will be installed in the Parliament complex.
The proposal came from the Shri Jagannath Temple Administration (SJTA).
Lok Sabha Speaker Om Birla accepted the proposal.
The wheels are from chariots of Lord Jagannath, Goddess Subhadra, and Lord Balabhadra.
The Sengol was the first cultural item installed in the new Parliament building.
