Gor Says India Sought No Questions at Modi-Trump Meeting

India and the United States held a meeting between Narendra Modi and Donald Trump on June 17.

India reportedly asked that reporters be present but not hold a full question-and-answer session.

Sergio Gor said Trump first accepted this request.

After the leaders spoke, Trump asked reporters if they had questions.

This turned the meeting into a press conference lasting about 45 minutes.

Modi also discussed the safety of Indian sailors near the Strait of Hormuz.

Trump described sailing as a rough profession but offered strong security support for Modi.

The two countries were also working toward a trade agreement.
