Azad Samaj Party Accused of Office Encroachment by Businessman
A businessman who also works in politics says a political party rented his office a few years ago.
Now, he says the party won't leave the office.
He also claims they are asking him for a large sum of money, like Rs 10 lakh, to move out.
The businessman mentioned that he had rented the office to them for a much lower price than usual, only Rs 10,000 a month, and that some of the checks they gave him for rent did not have enough money.
The political party has not yet responded to these accusations.
Businessman-politician Naren Bhikuram Jain accuses Chandra Shekhar Azad and the Azad Samaj Party (ASP) of encroaching on his Civil Lines office property.
Jain alleges the ASP rented the office in 2021 and is now refusing to vacate the premises.
He claims the party is demanding Rs 10 lakh from him in exchange for vacating the property.
The agreed monthly rent was Rs 10,000, significantly lower than the market rate of approximately Rs 1 lakh.
Jain also reported that rent cheques provided by the party have bounced.
