Nuvama Prefers ICICI Bank Over HDFC Bank
Nuvama, a brokerage house, looked at the recent earnings of HDFC Bank and ICICI Bank to see which stock might be a better investment.
Both banks got a 'Buy' rating, but Nuvama thinks ICICI Bank could go up a bit more in value.
HDFC Bank had a steady but not very exciting quarter, with some pressure on its profits.
Still, Nuvama believes it will do well in the long run, especially with more deposits and loans.
ICICI Bank, on the other hand, had a strong quarter with lots of loan growth and better profits.
Nuvama likes ICICI Bank more because it's growing faster and has good management.
Both banks are good investments, but ICICI Bank seems to have a bit more momentum right now.
Nuvama maintains 'Buy' rating for both HDFC Bank and ICICI Bank.
HDFC Bank has a target price of Rs 1,025 with 25% upside potential.
ICICI Bank has a target price of Rs 1,850 with 28% upside potential.
HDFC Bank's loan growth driven by corporate, SME, and retail segments.
ICICI Bank shows strong credit growth, improving margins, and stable asset quality.
