Manipuri musician dies after alleged assault outside Delhi home
Chongtham Vikram Singh was a 55-year-old musician from Manipur who lived in Delhi.
Police said he went outside his home late at night and complained about loud noise.
The noise was reportedly coming from delivery workers and people connected with nearby eateries.
An argument followed, and Singh was allegedly chased and attacked inside his building.
CCTV recordings reportedly show some of the accused leaving the building.
His family took him to a hospital in Okhla, but he died early Monday.
The hospital said he died from shock caused by serious injuries from a blunt object or force.
Police arrested seven men and apprehended one juvenile.
Singh was also known for helping develop Manipur’s rock music scene.
