Mumbai Water Stock Reaches 96.41% as Lakes Remain Nearly Full

Mumbai gets much of its water from seven lakes.

On September 8, those lakes were almost completely full.

Together, they held about 96.41% of their usable capacity.

This was slightly higher than the day before.

Vehar was completely full.

Upper Vaitarna had the lowest level, but it was still above 91%.

Rain during the monsoon helped refill the lakes.

More light rain and windy weather were expected in Mumbai.
