Andhra Pradesh Teams Head to Junior Soft Tennis Championship
Two teams from Andhra Pradesh have travelled to Srinagar.
One team is made up of boys, and the other is made up of girls.
They will play in a national junior soft tennis championship.
The event is scheduled to run from October 5 to 10.
The championship is its 21st edition.
The players come from several districts in Andhra Pradesh.
A local school development committee member gave the selected players sports kits.
Association officials wished the teams well.
Andhra Pradesh boys’ and girls’ teams left Vijayawada for Srinagar on Sunday.
They will compete in the 21st National Junior Soft Tennis Championship from October 5 to 10.
Association general secretary D Dilip Kumar said both teams will represent Andhra Pradesh.
The boys’ team has eight players from NTR, Krishna and Kakinada districts.
The girls’ team has eight players representing six districts; selected players received sports kits.
