Odisha Expands PDS to Border Kotia Villages

Odisha Expands PDS to Border Kotia Villages

The Odisha government is making sure that all families in 28 villages called Kotia, which are near the border, will get food supplies through a system called PDS.

This means everyone, no matter their situation, will receive ration cards and rice.

The minister gave out some ration cards to start this program and promised that soon every family will get one.

He also said that the government will make sure the rice is delivered right to people's homes so they don't have to travel far.

Additionally, they plan to set up a place to teach young people skills so they can find jobs nearby and not have to leave their villages.

This area has been in a dispute between Odisha and Andhra Pradesh for a long time, and both states are trying to help the people there.
