Infosys and NIMHANS Launch Mental Health First Aider Training Manual
Imagine your company wants to make sure everyone feels good at work, not just physically, but mentally too.
So, a big company called Infosys worked with some smart doctors from a place called NIMHANS to create a special guide.
This guide is like a first-aid kit for feelings.
It teaches people how to notice if a coworker is feeling really sad or stressed, how to be a good friend and listen, and how to help them find a real doctor if they need one.
They even trained all their HR people to be like mental health helpers!
This is all to make sure everyone at work feels safe and supported.
Infosys and NIMHANS have launched a 'Mental Health First Aider Training Manual' for employees.
The manual aims to help employees identify signs of mental distress and offer peer support.
It covers topics like self-awareness, self-care, understanding mental health conditions, and basic counseling skills.
Infosys has trained its HR professionals in India as Mental Health First Aiders.
The manual is a result of a year-long collaboration involving focus group discussions and expert design from both organizations.
