Mumbai Harbour Line Closed for 14-Hour Megablock
Imagine the train tracks need to be changed to make the journey better for everyone.
This weekend, the train line between Wadala Road and Mankhurd will be closed for about 14 and a half hours.
This closure, called a megablock, is happening so workers can build a new, higher-up train station at Kurla.
The new station is a big project to make train travel easier.
During the closure, some trains won't run, but special trains will operate between Panvel and Mankhurd to help people get around.
It will take a while, but it is needed to fix the tracks.
A 14-hour 30-minute megablock is scheduled for the Harbour Line.
The block will occur between Wadala Road and Mankhurd.
The closure is to facilitate construction of an elevated station at Kurla.
The megablock begins on September 13 at 11:05 pm and ends on September 14 at 1:35 pm.
Several Harbour Line services will be cancelled, with special services between Panvel and Mankhurd.
