West Bengal Minister Studies Indore’s Cleanliness Model for Replication

Dilip Ghosh, a minister from West Bengal, visited Indore with a team of officials and experts.

They wanted to learn how Indore keeps its city clean.

The team studied the Command and Control Centre and visited waste-processing facilities.

They looked at how garbage is collected from homes.

They also studied how waste is separated, transported and processed.

Ghosh said Indore has worked on cleanliness for nearly 20 years.

He acknowledged that West Bengal still needs to improve its sanitation systems.

The team will consider using some of Indore’s methods in West Bengal step by step.
