xAI Seeks $4.3 Billion in New Equity Funding
Elon Musk's AI company, xAI, is trying to raise more money!
They're aiming for $4.3 billion this time, on top of the $5 billion they're getting through debt.
They've already used up a lot of the $14 billion they raised earlier.
The company is also expecting money back from a hardware supplier, too.
Even though they're spending a lot, investors still believe in xAI, and the company's value has gone up.
It’s like they’re trying to catch up with other big AI companies like OpenAI and Google DeepMind.
xAI is seeking $4.3 billion in a new equity round.
This fundraising follows a $5 billion debt offering led by Morgan Stanley.
xAI has already spent a majority of the $14 billion raised since 2023.
The company is also expecting a $650 million rebate from a hardware manufacturer.
xAI's valuation increased to $80 billion at the end of Q1 2024.
