CPI(M) Leader Files Pension Fraud Complaint
A senior leader of the CPI(M) named P K Sreemathi filed a complaint with the police.
She said that some online news portals and media outlets falsely claimed she was receiving a family pension in the name of a former legislator named P R Krishnan.
The confusion arose because both the CPI(M) leader and Krishnan's widow share the same name.
The police have registered a case against six accused, including the news portals, a television channel, and a local newspaper.
Sreemathi has also reached out to the chief minister, home minister, and state police chief for help.
She plans to take legal action against those who made the false allegations.
