Warangal Officials Prepare Elaborate Plans for Ganesh Idol Immersion
Warangal officials are preparing for Ganesh idol immersion after nine days of celebrations.
They inspected four ponds to see whether the sites were ready.
They also checked how many idols may arrive and how large they could be.
Several government departments must work together for the event.
Water levels are low, so large idols may need cranes and specially levelled areas.
Workers will also remove water hyacinth from Bandham Cheruvu.
Smaller idols can be immersed locally, and officials will help with clay idols.
Police will organise roads, traffic, parking and security.
Organisers were asked to bring idols for immersion quickly after the celebrations end.
Officials inspected immersion sites at four ponds in Warangal on Friday.
Police, revenue, municipal, irrigation, roads and buildings, and electricity departments were told to coordinate preparations.
Officials were asked to arrange cranes and complete levelling work because water levels are low.
Authorities will support local immersion for shorter idols and facilitate clay-idol immersion.
Police will manage routes, traffic, parking and security, while organisers were urged to complete immersion promptly.
