Pakistan Invited to FIH Hockey Pro League After NZ Withdrawal
The Pakistan hockey team might get to play in a big hockey league!
The team was asked to join the FIH Hockey Pro League because another team dropped out.
Pakistan has until August 12 to say if they'll join.
This is a big deal because Pakistan used to be a top hockey team.
But because of some problems with India, Pakistan might not be able to play in a big upcoming tournament called the Asia Cup.
They might also skip another tournament called the Junior World Cup because of safety concerns.
The team's decisions are impacted by current political tensions.
Pakistan has been invited to join the FIH Hockey Pro League Men's 2025-26 season.
The invitation follows New Zealand's withdrawal from the league.
Pakistan must confirm its participation by August 12.
Pakistan's participation in the Asia Cup is uncertain due to recent India-Pakistan tensions.
Pakistan is considering skipping the Junior World Cup as well.
