Mumbai's First Double-Decker Flyover to Ease Traffic in Prabhadevi
Imagine Mumbai roads are like busy highways, and it takes a long time to get from one side to the other.
To make things faster, the city is building a brand new, two-level bridge in a busy area called Prabhadevi.
This new bridge will be like two bridges stacked on top of each other!
The bottom part will help cars move easily between the east and west sides of the area.
The top part will connect to a bigger road project that links to another part of the city, making it much quicker to travel between different neighborhoods.
They are even replacing an old bridge that's over a hundred years old with this modern, super bridge to help everyone get around faster.
Mumbai is set to build its first double-decker flyover in Prabhadevi to improve traffic flow.
The lower deck will facilitate east-west traffic movement within the local area.
The upper deck will be part of the larger Sewri-Worli connector project.
The existing 112-year-old Elphinstone Bridge will be demolished to make way for the new flyover.
The Sewri-Worli Connector aims to reduce travel time between Navi Mumbai and Worli to approximately 25-26 minutes.
