CBI Takes Over 2004 Murder Probe in Malappuram
A long time ago, in 2004, a woman's body was found in a rubber plantation in Malappuram, Kerala.
The police tried to find out who she was and who killed her, but they couldn't.
In 2021, a man named P Abdu asked the court to have the CBI investigate the case because he was treated unfairly during the initial investigation.
The court agreed, and in 2025, the CBI took over the case.
They are now trying to solve the mystery of who the woman was and who killed her.
CBI has taken over the investigation of a 2004 murder case of an unidentified woman in Malappuram.
The woman's body was found in a rubber plantation in Puthangangady, wearing a yellow blouse and skirt.
Initial investigation by Perinthalmanna police from 2004 to 2009 failed to identify the victim or the accused.
P Abdu approached the Kerala High Court in 2021 and 2025 seeking a CBI probe, citing humiliation during initial investigations.
