Assam Court Hears Bail Pleas in Zubeen Garg Death Case

A court in Assam is hearing bail pleas from five people accused in the death of famous singer Zubeen Garg.

Two of the accused, Shyamkanu Mahanta and Sandipan Garg, withdrew their bail petitions.

The court heard the bail pleas of Amritprava Mahanta, Paresh Baishya, and Nandeswar Bora.

The court will decide on the bail pleas on January 30.

The prosecution presented a strong case opposing the bail.

Garg died in Singapore while swimming, and the police there said he was drunk and not wearing a life jacket.

The investigation found that Garg had health problems, but it's not clear if he took his medicine that day.
