Amrit Bharat 3.0 trains: ICF to manufacture two rakes by FY26 end

The Ministry of Railways is planning to introduce Amrit Bharat 3.0 trains, which are designed to offer a comfortable and affordable travel experience for people who may not be able to afford more expensive train options.

These new trains will be similar to the Vande Bharat Express but are specifically made to be more affordable.

The Integral Coach Factory (ICF) in Chennai plans to manufacture two rakes of these new trains by the end of the financial year 2025–26.

Currently, there are Amrit Bharat 1.0 and 2.0 trains running on the railway network.

The goal is to provide a better travel experience for passengers who may not have access to more expensive travel options.

Meanwhile, the Ahmedabad–Mumbai Vande Bharat Express has been upgraded to 20 coaches to accommodate more passengers, reflecting the increasing demand for premium train services.
