BCCI Adds Drug and Match-Fixing Education to Junior Selection

BCCI Adds Drug and Match-Fixing Education to Junior Selection

The BCCI is creating a new group to manage junior cricket teams.

The group will choose players up to the Under-22 level.

It will also help select coaches and other team staff.

A new duty is teaching young cricketers about drugs, betting and match-fixing.

The BCCI says this should happen early because young players can face pressure from money and fame.

The committee will organise tournaments, camps and overseas tours.

It will check how junior teams are developing and choose their captains.

Five former players will be selected for the committee.

Applications must be submitted by September 5.
