43 children fall ill after midday meal
A lot of children got sick after eating their lunch at a school in Gujarat.
They had to go to the hospital because they were throwing up and had tummy aches.
The doctors and other officials are trying to find out what made them sick.
The school is in a place called Jagana village, which is quite far from the big city of Ahmedabad.
The children are being taken care of in the hospital, and the officials are working hard to make sure this doesn't happen again.
43 students fell ill after consuming a midday meal at Eklavya Model Residential School in Jagana village, Banaskantha.
Symptoms included diarrhoea and vomiting, with 10 girls initially taken to the Primary Health Centre (PHC).
All affected students were admitted to the general hospital in Palanpur, 8 km from the school and 138 km from Ahmedabad.
The incident was reported to district health officials around 5:30 pm on Monday.
The cause of the illness is under investigation, with possible food or water poisoning suspected.
