Tejashwi Yadav Detained During RJD Exam Protest March

The Rashtriya Janata Dal held a protest march in Patna.

Tejashwi Yadav led the march toward Lok Bhavan, also referred to as Raj Bhavan in reports.

The protesters were concerned about alleged exam paper leaks, unemployment and unfair examination systems.

Police stopped the march with barricades and water cannons.

Yadav and several RJD members were detained.

Yadav said the protest was peaceful and that the party was not afraid of detention.

The protesters also wanted action against officials in Siwan after an AK-47 was fired during a student protest.

The Bihar government told the Supreme Court that a police constable fired four rounds into the air after being trapped in a crowd.

The government said no protester was injured, and the constable was suspended.
