Mitsubishi Revives Pajero With 201PS Fifth-Generation SUV

Mitsubishi has brought back its famous Pajero SUV in a new fifth-generation model.

The Pajero was first introduced in 1982 and its previous version ended production in 2021.

The new vehicle is designed to drive on both normal roads and difficult off-road terrain.

It has a powerful diesel engine that makes 201 horsepower.

It can carry seven people and tow up to 3.5 tonnes when properly equipped.

Special systems help it drive over sand, snow, mud, rocks and gravel.

The SUV has a tough truck-like frame and 230mm of ground clearance.

It will be built in Thailand and launched in several markets beginning in fiscal 2026.

Mitsubishi plans to sell it in nearly 100 countries in fiscal 2027.
