Tata Boards Review Report on Executive's Family Firm Disclosures
Imagine a high-up worker at a big company, like the Tata Group.
This person, Suprakash, may have done something a bit sneaky by not telling everyone about his family's company.
It's like he didn't say that his family had a money-managing business called Divinion.
The company rules say you have to be open about stuff like this to avoid conflicts of interest.
People who worked at Tata may have invested in the family's company.
Even though the report said Suprakash didn't break the rules on purpose, he still should have said something.
Now, the big bosses at Tata are looking at what happened to make sure everything is fair and follows the rules.
Tata Sons and Tata Trusts boards to review a report on disclosure lapses by Suprakash Mukhopadhyay.
Mukhopadhyay, Tata Sons company secretary, allegedly failed to disclose his role with Divinion Advisory Services, a wealth management firm owned by his family.
The report, prepared by three Tata Sons executives, found no intentional breach of the Tata code of conduct but cited non-disclosure.
Divinion, established in December 2020, manages assets worth over Rs 90 crore and includes former Tata Group employees.
Mukhopadhyay, who retired in November 2024, is currently on extension and his family's Divinion Foundation Trust received CSR grants from Tata.
