Mitchell Century Guides New Zealand to Narrow Win Over West Indies in First ODI

New Zealand has taken the first game of a three-match cricket series against the West Indies.

The game was played in Christchurch.

New Zealand's Daryl Mitchell scored a great century, even though he had a leg injury.

His team scored 269 runs.

The West Indies tried hard to chase this score, with Sherfane Rutherford scoring 55 runs and Justin Greaves hitting some quick runs.

However, they fell just short of the target, scoring 262 runs.

This means New Zealand leads the series 1-0.

The next game is on Wednesday in Napier.

Daryl Mitchell's century was a key factor in the win.
