Telangana Orders Tourist Restrictions Amid Heavy Rains
The state of Telangana is having a lot of rain that could cause floods.
The chief secretary, Sanjay Jaju, told local officials to keep people safe.
He said tourists should not go to waterfalls or picnic spots because they can be dangerous.
Police and disaster teams are ready to help if something bad happens.
Farmers are also being told to grow vegetables instead of rice so they can sell them better and get help from a charity.
The police have found 416 places that could be risky and are stopping people from going there during the rain.
Chief Secretary Sanjay Jaju ordered district collectors to take precautionary measures amid heavy rains in Telangana.
Tourists were barred from waterfalls, picnic spots, and other hazardous tourist destinations during the forecasted rainfall.
NDRF and SDRF teams were deployed and control rooms established in district headquarters to monitor the situation.
Farmers were advised to shift from paddy to alternative crops, with produce to be procured through the Hare Krishna Foundation.
